Man’s Sin (Print)

Appropriating from Raphael’s Transfiguration (1516-1520), the piece is a statement on man’s greatest sin.  Religion is a deeply spiritual, personal relationship with the God of your choosing.  Instead, it has become a tool to betray and ostracize groups who do not “belong”.  The consumption of this manufactured image of Jesus, has been forced upon us, fed into our subconscious and has encroached into our lives through government, laws, and moral.  As we become more exposed, and aware of groups that did not have a voice before, it is apparent that this version of “Jesus” only serves one demographic.
